Much like a cake, the story of Moemas began with a basic set of ingredients: one homesick South African girl studying in London and one completely besotted Englishman, a hint of nostalgia and also a large dollop of love and most of all family values. Leave to raise for 8 years or so, remove from oven and then serve to hungry South Africans.
Moemas is a creator of fabulous food and strives to provide the best catering in Johannesburg. Originally started as a shop by husband and wife Danielle Postma and Mike Caudle in 2007 it has now evolved into a pure catering company. Our mission is to simply provide really tasty food using great quality ingredients that is presented beautifully for you. We are both passionate about creating the best experience possible for the customer whether it is in a private or a corporate setting.

Danielle Postma is the co-owner of Moemas and Mike’s better half. She is the creative force behind Moemas and thinks of new ideas constantly. Danielle was trained at Leith’s in London and immediately started to work at Baker and Spice where she worked with the now famous Yotam Ottolenghi who was head of the pastry section. She went on to work with Yotam when he opened his store – Ottolenghi’s. Her intention is to create fabulousness for catering in Johannesburg and to be a force for good in general.
